On September 20, 2023, Asian Legal Business (ALB) released their China M&A Rankings 2023. For the 12th consecutive year JunHe was ranked as a Tier 1 law firm.
ALB China’s M&A rankings select the top M&A law firms in China based on five metrics: the volume, complexity and size of the work undertaken, key clients and new client wins, and a firm’s visibility and profile. JunHe was again ranked Tier 1 for its extensive experience and outstanding reputation in the field of M&A.
In recent years, JunHe’s M&A team has completed a number of benchmark and high-profile projects. These include JCET’s acquisition of STATS ChipPAC through a tender offer, the acquisition of China Merchants Port by Shenzhen Chiwan Wharf through a share issuance, the acquisition of Sanechips by ZTE Corporation, the acquisition of Joy City Property by COFCO Property through a share issuance, and the strategic restructuring of Carlsberg’s business in China with Chongqing Brewery. These projects were also selected as “Top 10 M&A and Restructuring Cases in the Capital Market” by the China Association for Public Companies during its 10th anniversary in early 2023.
For its outstanding performance in the M&A practice area, JunHe has been recognized by many leading international legal directories such as Chambers Greater China Region, The Legal 500, Asialaw Profiles and the International Financial Law Review as a “Band 1 Leading Law Firm” and a “Recommended Law Firm” for M&A.
JunHe is a trusted partner to its valued clients. A client remarked, “they (JunHe) always deliver high-quality work and provide creative solutions to the most difficult regulatory and contractual issues.”
Being ranked as a Tier 1 law firm in ALB China M&A Rankings for the 12th consecutive year offers great encouragement to JunHe’s outstanding M&A team. In the domestic and international M&A markets, opportunities and challenges exist side by side. JunHe will continue to provide comprehensive and first-class legal services to its clients and advise on major transactions that impact the business landscape of China and the world.
