November 16, 2022, JunHe was awarded 2022 “Firm of the Year - China” by Who’s Who Legal (“WWL”). JunHe has been awarded this title consecutively since 2017. CHEN, Ziruo (Audrey), the partner of the firm, attended the event on behalf of JunHe. 

WWL, an independent London-based publishing group which provides research, analysis and reports on the international legal services marketplace, conducts in-depth research and assessment, and presents awards to the lawyers and firms that have performed exceptionally well in the featured practice areas. 

The award of “Firm of the Year – China” recognizes JunHe’s outstanding performance in the last 12 months as well as the professionalism and excellence that the firm has upheld for over 33 years, since its inception in 1989. 

Pro Bono:

• In August 2022, JunHe, alongside the Beijing Green Foundation launched the Green Beijing Special Fund for Carbon Neutrality in response to the goal of peak carbon dioxide emissions by 2030 and carbon neutralization by 2060 officially put forward by China at the 75th Session of the UN General Assembly.

• In September 2022, the China Quality Certification Centre issued their Carbon Neutrality Certification to JunHe’s Chengdu office.

• In October 2022, BritChamber Shanghai named JunHe the “ESG Legal Service Provider of the Year”.

The Firm’s Development:

In addition to the recent WWL award, JunHe has been honored with many globally recognized awards in 2022: 

• JunHe became the first Chinese law firm to ever win the China MIKE award, the “Oscar” of the knowledge management sector. The award is recognition for JunHe’s achievements in innovation and knowledge management, and highlights the successful implementation of JunHe’s digital reformation strategy;

• JunHe was named the “ALB China Employer of Choice” for the 13th time. The award is the legal industry’s recognition of JunHe’s outstanding efforts and it inspires the firm to achieve even more in the future. JunHe has always been dedicated to attracting top lawyers to the firm and nurturing and developing their talents. 

• JunHe received the “China (PRC Firms) Client Service Award” at the Chambers Asia Pacific & Greater China Region Awards. 

• JunHe won China Business Law Journal’s “Golden League” award for the third time. This is the tenth consecutive year that JunHe has been recognized for its outstanding performance. 

• IFLR 1000 named JunHe the “2022 Firm of the Year – Beijing” along with five other major awards, and China Law & Practice named JunHe the “Chinese Law Firm of the Year” and the “CSR Award of the Year”.

JunHe has been named the “Chinese Law Firm of the Year” by Asian Legal Business, Leaders League and Asialaw Profile, and the “Most Innovative Law Firm in China” by IFLR, Financial Times and other world-renowned legal media companies many times over the years.
