Dr. Wang is a co-head of the firm’s patent practice group. She currently works at JunHe’s Shanghai office.
Dr. Wang’s practice includes patent prosecution, intellectual property related transactional matters and patent litigation. She has represented Chinese and foreign companies in a wide variety of intellectual property rights related matters such as patent procurement, designing patent filing strategy and patent portfolio management, patent infringement and validity opinions, freedom-to-operate analyses, patentability analyses, patent due diligence review, technology transfers, collaboration and licensing, trademark and trade secret protection strategies. She has also led various patent enforcement matters involving patent infringement actions and patent invalidation actions. Her work involves technologies in the fields of biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, chemistry, material science, software, electronics and devices.
Prior to joining JunHe, Dr. Wang was the managing partner of the Shanghai office of Perkins Coie LLP. She joined Perkins Coie in 2005 and moved to Shanghai to help open the Perkins Coie Shanghai office. In addition, she practiced law in New York city as an associate at Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom LLP from 1999 to 2003, and then at Brown Raysman Millstein Felder & Steiner LLP from 2003 to 2005.
Since 2011, Chambers Asia-Pacific has ranked Dr. Wang as a leading Intellectual Property lawyer in China. She is a frequent speaker on topics relating to intellectual property law matters and has authored various articles relating to intellectual property law protection in China.
Dr. Wang graduated from Wuhan University with a B.S. degree. She then obtained a Ph.D. degree from Duke University and a J.D. degree from Columbia University.
Dr. Wang is a registered patent attorney at the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office and a licensed attorney in the State of New York.
