JunHe Honored as a Tier 1 Law Firm in ALB China’s Overseas Business Rankings 2026

2026.07.20

On July 20, 2026, the legal media outlet Asian Legal Business (ALB) announced its 2026 China Law Firm Overseas Business Rankings. These rankings focus on the comprehensive strength of Chinese law firms in assisting enterprises with their international expansion. JunHe, with decades of strategic planning and development in cross-border legal services, was rated as a Tier 1 Law Firm.

As early as the 1990s, JunHe identified a path for foreign-related legal services to establish a global service layout, starting with cross-border investment and financing and overseas mergers and acquisitions. After decades of experience, JunHe has built a complete foreign-related business system covering areas such as transactions, compliance and dispute resolution. As Chinese enterprises venture into deeper waters overseas, the role of legal services has evolved from being supporters of cross-border transactions to partners in internationalization strategies. JunHe has always been at the forefront of this evolution.

Global Network: From China to Key Global Markets

JunHe's overseas business capabilities are built on a solid global network.

As the only Chinese law firm to be a member of the two major international legal cooperation organizations, Lex Mundi and Multilaw, JunHe has established close cooperative partnerships with the best law firms in major countries across Asia and Europe. Whether a client's project is in New York, London, Tokyo, Jakarta, Dubai or São Paulo, JunHe can mobilize the best local legal resources to achieve standardized and seamless cross-border legal services.

At the proprietary level, JunHe has established direct offices in international hub cities such as Hong Kong, New York, Silicon Valley and Seattle, gathering a team of seasoned legal professionals with practicing qualifications. These teams are well-versed in the commercial demands and cultural habits of Chinese enterprises and are experts in the legal rules and practical conventions of their respective jurisdictions. JunHe grasps the commercial essence of enterprises from different regions while balancing commercial objectives across multiple jurisdictions in handling cross-border transactions.

Depth of Expertise: Professional Capabilities Covering the Entire Overseas Lifecycle

The breadth of a network determines the boundaries of a service, while the depth of expertise determines the quality of a service. JunHe covers the entire lifecycle of enterprises going overseas—from market entry and structural design before investment, to cross-border mergers and acquisitions, compliance reviews and document negotiations during transactions. During the operational phase we have expertise in labor employment, data compliance and intellectual property protection as well as international arbitration and cross-border litigation experience after disputes arise.

In recent years, the forms of Chinese enterprises going overseas have become increasingly diverse, covering supply chain compliance audits, technology cooperation, brand acquisitions, cross-border financing and infrastructure investment. Behind each form lies complex and varied legal issues. JunHe, with its multi-business group collaborations under an integrated management framework, breaks down professional barriers and allows teams in compliance, corporate mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, intellectual property, antitrust, labor law and dispute resolution to collaborate efficiently at any time. We provide clients with truly comprehensive legal support—not as isolated islands, but as a closely connected organic whole.

From being the guardian of cross-border transactions to the long-term companion in an enterprise’s global layout, JunHe has crafted a globally connected and integrated legal service network over thirty years. This listing in the 2026 ALB China Overseas Business Rankings is the best testament to our years of work. Looking ahead at the ever-changing cross-border markets, JunHe will continue to use professionalism as a beacon, breaking down geographical and jurisdictional barriers, accompanying every Chinese enterprise setting sail overseas to navigate the waves and achieve steady and far-reaching progress.

JunHe is the only Chinese law firm to be admitted as a member of Lex Mundi and Multilaw, two international networks of independent law firms. JunHe and selected top law firms in major European and Asian jurisdictions are “best friends.” Through these connections, we provide high quality legal services to clients doing business throughout the world.
As the first carbon neutrality fund sponsored by a law firm in China, the BAF Carbon Neutrality Special Fund was jointly established by JunHe and the Beijing Afforestation Foundation (BAF) to promote carbon neutral initiatives, and encourage social collaboration based on the public fundraising platform to mobilize engagement in public welfare campaigns.
