2024.01.19

Since ancient times, the Circum-Bohai-Sea area has been known for its magnificent natural landscapes and abundant marine resources. With the rapid economic development in Shandong and Liaoning Provinces, this area has become the third largest economic zone in China. The demand for legal services in this area has also risen, and large law firms are expanding their presence here as an important part of their national strategy.

JunHe has established offices in Dalian and Qingdao in the Circum-Bohai Sea area. Due to its excellent performance and outstanding reputation, the firm has built up a dominant position in this area and has been recognized by many authoritative legal media companies. On January 19, 2024, Asian Legal Business (ALB) released its 2024 ALB China Regional Ranking: Circum-Bohai Sea Area Firms, and JunHe was named as a Circum-Bohai Sea Area Firm for the second consecutive year. JunHe partner LIU, Xuezheng received the award on behalf of the firm at the awards ceremony.

Founded in 2017, the Qingdao office provides high-quality legal services in fields such as capital markets, innovation and entrepreneurship, and dispute resolution. The firm meets the business needs of local and international clients, ensuring the successful implementation of their commercial projects in Qingdao and surrounding areas. The Qingdao office has handled many key projects and typical cases such as the mixed ownership reform of Hisense Group, Qingdao Haiwan Group and other large state-owned enterprises. JunHe’s Qingdao office has provided expertise in industrial restructuring, corporate governance, the introduction of strategic investors and the establishment of medium- and long-term employee equity incentive plans. It also advised Qingdao Metro Group and other large state-owned enterprises directly under the municipal government of Qingdao on their domestic and overseas issuance of bonds and assisted Nanhai City Construction Investment in its acquisition and restructuring of Evergrande’s Dingzi Bay Project.

JunHe’s Dalian office was the first strategic branch established by the firm in the Circum-Bohai Sea area and successfully extended the firm’s reach throughout Northeast China. JunHe’s lawyers leverage their solid expertise and rich experience to provide high-quality legal services for its valued clients. As a result of JunHe’s pooled resources and integrated platform, the Dalian office has provided seamless and one-stop legal services in various projects in areas such as corporate and M&A, dispute resolution, bankruptcy reorganization and labor law. Its client base includes state-owned enterprises, private enterprises and governmental organizations. It recently advised a large Dalian commercial enterprise on its acquisition of the majority equity interest and assets of a cultural industry company in Hunan Province and its affiliates in Liaoning, Shanghai, Zhejiang and Shandong and assisted an enterprise with over 40 years of history with its employment settlement for about one hundred employees as a result of its equity transfer.

The new year brings fresh opportunities and new hope to the beautiful Circum-Bohai Sea area. JunHe will continue to provide professional and comprehensive legal services and contribute to the flourishing of this area.
