Ms. Shijia Dong joined JunHe’s Beijing office in 2015 and has experience in domestic and offshore bond offerings, Panda Bonds, IPOs and M&A transactions. She has dealt with clients in industries such as financial services, energy, healthcare and real estate.

Specializing in bond offerings, Ms. Dong has accomplished milestone deals, such as the issuance of panda bonds by National Bank of Canada (the first panda bonds issued by a North American commercial bank), the issuance of sovereign panda bonds by the UAE’s Sharjah Government (the first sovereign panda bonds issued in the Middle East) and Xiaomi’s panda bond offering (the first small red-chip issuer with a VIE structure). 

Ms. Dong led the Shenzhen Municipal Government’s offshore RMB bond issuance in Hong Kong and Suzhou Industrial Park State-Owned Assets Holding Development Co., Ltd.’s offshore bond issuance in the Free Trade Zone. In 2021, China Business Law Journal named both these as  "Deals of the Year".

Ms. Dong has extensive experience in IPOs and M&As. Notable projects include BeiGene's RMB 20 billion IPO on the STAR Market, HUTCHMED’s listing on the Nasdaq Global Select Market and the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, and Bank of Tianjin’s Hong Kong IPO. She also handles the various legal issues in relation to her clients’ daily operations, corporate governance and commercial transactions.
