Ms. Zhang joined JunHe’s Beijing office in April 2006. Previously, she worked for a leading insurance company in China as in-house counsel and was assigned to the Singapore International Arbitration Center for visiting and studying, where she gained a strong understanding of the insurance industry, corporate legal matters, restructures, investment, litigation and arbitration.
Ms. Zhang has extensive experience across a broad range of corporate transactions, include M&As, inbound and outbound investment, financing, compliance, stock incentive plans, data privacy and general corporate matters. She has advised on a number of highprofile public and complex private M&A deals and has an intimate knowledge of the legal issues and strategies involved in takeovers, merger schemes, corporate acquisitions and insurance law. She has represented a number of Chinese and multinational leading companies, investment banks and PEs in their investment and acquisition transactions. She has vast experience in structuring deals and drafting and negotiating transactional documents.
Ms. Zhang is also a key partner of the insurance practice team at JunHe. She focuses on insurance-related legal service, and has an excellent relationship with various insurance companies and authorities, following the rapid development of the Chinese insurance industry. She leads JunHe’s insurance team and provides a full range of value-added legal services to a large number of important clients in the insurance industry. She has significant experience dealing with all relevant matters within the insurance industry, such as license applications, M&As, business operation regulatory, creative policy design, cooperation with insurance brokers, compliance, investment of insurance funds, restructures and listings of insurance companies. She has represented a number of leading insurance companies, such as China Life Group, China Life Investment Holding Co., PICC P&C, China Reinsurance Group, Swiss Re-insurance, ABC Life Insurance and Arch Insurance. She also has particular insight in new areas of the insurance industry, such as the establishment and operation of Internet insurance companies.
