Ms. Xu is a partner at JunHe and is based in our Hong Kong and Shanghai offices.
Ms. Xu has more than 15 years legal experience in capital markets, M&A, financing, fund formation and private equity investments and has advised clients in the US, Europe, China and the Asia Pacific region. She advised China Merchants Bank in its US$2.5 billion acquisition of a controlling stake in a Hong Kong bank listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange Main Board (ALB M&A Deal of the Year, 2009). She also advised Transpac Capital Pte Ltd. on its US$ 200 million disposal of its entire issued shares in a Singaporean food company to H. J. Heinz Company (Asia M&A Atlas Awards Cross Border M&A Deal of the Year in Middle Markets, 2011). Previous clients of Ms. Xu include Goldman Sachs, Pacific Alliance Group, ARA Asset Management Investment Partners, BNP Paribas, TESCO and Burberry.
Prior to joining JunHe, Ms. Xu was the Group General Counsel of FinEx Asia, a global fintech powered asset management platform. Earlier in her career, she was the Asia Pacific General Counsel of a multi-national entity, and a senior associate at DLA Piper and Jones Day. She has led many landmark transactions of cross-border M&As, project financing, public company takeovers and leveraged buy-outs, with values exceeding US$10 billion.
Ms. Xu holds a Masters Degree from the University of Manchester. She is on the Roll of Solicitors of the High Court of Hong Kong and has been admitted to practice law in the People’s Republic of China.
