Eli joined JunHe in 2011 and is based in our Beijing office. His practice focuses on corporate and commercial law, including foreign direct investment, M&A, reorganization, private equity/venture capital, outbound investment, etc. Eli has extensive experience across a wide spectrum of industrial sectors including agriculture and animal husbandry, mining, aviation, education, rail transit and retail.  

Eli advises many prestigious clients including multinational corporations, government industry funds, investment institutions and financial institutions on their investments in China, from market entry, incorporation of a local presence, business permits and application, to the legal and regulatory matters that arise in connection with corporate management, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, corporate restructuring, financing and the operation of their business activities in China. He also advises many Chinese clients who wish to expand their business offshore, through establishing local entities or M&As with local firms. 

Eli is the Vice Chairman of Legal Industry Development and Law Firm Management Guidance Committee of Beijing Bar Association, board member of Cross-Border Investment and M&A Committee of Beijing Bar Association, lecturer at the China University of Geosciences for Mining Advanced Class, lecturer at the Foundation for Natural Resources and Energy Law, lawyer at Beijing Bar Association's Foreign-related Lawyers Talent Pool, mentor at Wenzhou 'Youth Entrepreneurship Strengthening City' Initiative of Wenzhou Government, mentor at Mainland China Legal Internship Programme for Hong Kong Youths and at Western Lawyers Study Programme.

Eli was honored on the list of 2024 ALB China Client Choice by Asian Legal Business (ALB), and ranked as the Competency Lawyer in the Lexpress 2024 Guide to Excellence in the Legal Services: Overseas Investment / Project and honored on the list of Top15 Rising Partners of China Legal Pioneers by Legal Hall of Fame in 2025.
