Mr. Feng Chen is a partner currently based at JunHe’s Shanghai office and his practice focuses on customs law. He has more than 20 years of experience counseling clients on customs duties, customs clearance (including CIQ inspections and trade controls), and customs protection of intellectual property rights. He specialises in customs enforcement matters involving customs audits and investigations and smuggling-related criminal cases.
With unmatched insight into customs law and enforcement practices, and extensive experience regarding customs duty disputes and administrative penalties, he has dealt with over 700 customs penalties and has heard dozens of administrative reconsiderations. Mr. Chen advises on tariff classification, valuation, country of origin and marking requirements, customs clearance, bonded warehouses, CIQ inspections and anti-smuggling issues, and guides his clients through customs inspections, audits and investigations.
To minimize exposure to various customs duties and custom-related legal risks, Mr. Chen provides companies with compliance counseling regarding customs self-assessment and compliance programs.
