With 28 years experience divided between leading US law firms and JunHe, Mr. Sang has successfully represented a wide range of multi-national companies doing business in and with China, including setting up all types of foreign investment entities, buying land use rights, developing real estate projects and constructing facilities, closing complex and/or landmark private equity/venture capital projects, mergers and acquisitions and real estate transactions. He has also been responsible for setting up funds and fund management companies, acting on compliance matters including with the FCPA, and working closely with various governmental agencies to resolve complicated operational issues.
Mr. Sang has led deals in China involving acquisitions and joint ventures and has been involved in several large scale projects involving waste disposal, light trucks, air cargo and sea water treatment. He has also been instrumental in an attempted ore port project, an O2O project and a large aircraft project, as well as other high profile transactions.
Mr. Sang as the lead partner has represented numerous clients including GE, GM, Pfizer, Johnson & Johnson, Pepsi, DuPont, Takeda, Nissan, Mazda, Marks & Spencer, Burberry, Costa Coffee, Swire, Cathay Pacific Airways, Hutchison Whampoa, CITIC Pacific, Citigroup, Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, Blackstone, TPG, Bain Capital, Softbank and Tencent. Mr. Sang also works closely with lawyers from various law firms around the world on cross-border transactions.
Prior to joining JunHe, Mr. Sang practiced in California, Hong Kong and Shanghai with leading American law firms for over a decade.
