Mr. Zhang commenced his legal practice in 1996 and joined JunHe in July 2011. Prior to joining JunHe, he was the founding partner and managing partner of a leading law firm in South China. In 1999, he trained at a Chicago law firm (Holleb & Coff).
Specializing in corporate and mergers & acquisitions (M&A), capital markets, and foreign investments, Mr. Zhang has accumulated extensive professional expertise and project management experience in these fields. He has successfully assisted over 30 companies in achieving listing on domestic or overseas securities markets, and has handled numerous acquisitions of listed companies.
Mr. Zhang has served as an arbitrator specializing in M&A and foreign investment at the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC) since 2005. Having presided over a significant volume of arbitration cases, he has also developed profound expertise in dispute resolution, corporate governance, and compliance matters.
Mr. Zhang was awarded the ‘Medal of Outstanding Contribution to Legal Services Industry’ in 2008 and 2016 by the Guangzhou Bar Association and was honored as “2008-2010 National Excellent Lawyer” in 2011 by the All-China Bar Association. Chambers Asia-Pacific has ranked him as a Band 1 lawyer in China in the area of Corporate/Commercial every year since 2015.

Mr. Zhang received his degree of LL.B. in International Economic Law from Fudan University in 1993 and his LL.M. in Transnational Business Practice from University of The Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in California in 1998. He also studied International Business Law at Salzburg University in Austria.
