Professional Experience

Hongjuan Bai advises clients on various labor and employment issues from hiring to firing. She advises on strategic workforce issues including the structure of employment relationships, employee remuneration and benefits, establishment and enforcement of company policies, workplace harassment and discrimination, post-termination restrictive covenants, workforce reduction, employment-related due diligence and personnel transfer options in business transactions.


She advises clients in responding to inspections by labor authorities, and is experienced in complex labor and employment litigation. She also serves as outside counsel to well-known multinational companies on issues relating to trade unions and collective bargaining.


Ms. Bai also advises clients on matters involving workplace privacy and data protection, including advising on the lawful use of background checks for employment purposes, etc.
