JunHe Partner Adam Li Invited To Lecture At SCU

2016.12.02

Invited by Professor Anna Han, Adam Li, a partner of our Palo Alto/Shanghai offices, lectured on Nov. 14, 2016, speaking at the Law School of Santa Clara University, on draft China Foreign Investment Law.

JunHe has been actively advising on the changes of foreign investment law, regarding recent concerted actions by MOFCOM and AIC to remove preapproval for foreign companies investing in China in most instances.  The changes have been encouraging, opening the door for many new opportunities for foreign investors.

Mr. Li has practiced law for more than 25 years and is an expert in China M&A and FDI.  On top of his practice, he lectures at various reputable institutions, within the last four months he has spoken at the New York Practicing Law Institute, Santa Clara University in California, Fudan University and the Law School in Shanghai.  He also leads the corporate law practices of JunHe's Palo Alto offices.

Since the 1990’s, Mr. Li has been consistently named as a leading lawyer in M&As, general corporate, capital markets and private equity by Chambers & Partners, Asia Law & Practice, International Financial Law Review, Legal 500, and the Who’s Who of International Merger & Acquisitions Lawyers. He was also honored by the Ministry of Justice of the PRC as one of China’s 10 Best Lawyers.

As “CHAMBERS ASIA-PACIFIC 2016” stated, “Adam Li is well known for his impressive expertise in the M&A market gained from over 20 years of experience. He regularly advises US companies on their investments and operations in China”.
