In 2021 JunHe, as legal counsel to the issuer, advised Guangdong Agribusiness Group Corporation (Guangdong Agribusiness or issuer) on its issuance of 2 billion ultra-short-term financing bonds (the "Project"), which was recently registered in the National Association of Financial Market Institutional Investors.
Guangdong Agribusiness is under the remit of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of the People's Republic of China and is one of the two major reclamation areas directly under the Central Government. Guangdong Agribusiness has five secondary companies in Zhanjiang, Maoming, Yangjiang, Jieyang and Shanwei, and its subsidiaries are located in Guangdong, Beijing, Shandong, Hainan, Yunnan, Anhui and Guangxi, as well as in Thailand, Singapore, Cambodia, Laos, Indonesia, Benin and a number of other countries. In the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, it has one listed company, three national key leading enterprises in the agricultural area, 17 key leading enterprises in Guangdong Province and five production bases certified as "vegetable basket" production bases.
Guangdong Agribusiness engages in national strategic resources and urban safe food, and has a number of modern state-owned farms and production bases for products such as natural rubber, sugar cane, grain, oil, livestock, dairy and sisal. It has developed into a modern agribusiness group with the integrated development of primary, secondary and tertiary industries and the simultaneous development of its domestic and international markets. It is supported by the Guangdong Provincial Government and is an important force in promoting the development of modern agriculture and the revitalization of the countryside as well as serving the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
As the special legal counsel of the Project, JunHe participated in the whole Project. JunHe’s team conducted legal due diligence on Guangdong Agribusiness and its relevant subsidiaries, reviewed the relevant legal documents, issued legal opinions and provided professional, efficient and comprehensive legal services.
