JunHe’s Seattle office is the latest addition of our China law expertise in the US.  It is also an important complement, especially on the West Coast, to our 30 years of bilingual/bicultural legal service in America, on both US and Chinese legal matters, and to our existing and prospective Asia-Pacific based clients doing business in the US.

China Law

Our Seattle office serves as a China law hotline to our US clients.  It has direct access to the wealth of knowledge and experience built for decades, by thousands of our seasoned lawyers and alums, trained by the best law schools and law firms in both in China and in the US or in other countries or regions with established and modern judicial systems.  We have 34 practice groups and 14 offices with more than 1000 lawyers specialized in different sets of law.  Our resident partner has practiced Chinese law for more than 30 years, covering a very wide range of terrain, from IPO to M&A, from debt financing to venture investments, representing many Fortune 500 companies and prominent Chinese businesses in complex and first-of-kind transactions.  With JunHe’s Seattle presence, our clients in the West Hemisphere can easily tap our resources, conveniently during their own working hours.

Cross-border Transactions

The greatest strength of our Seattle office is cross-border transactions, especially those between the US and China.  Many JunHe’s partners work on cross-border transactions on daily basis.  Quite a few of us are also admitted to practice and have indeed practiced for significant amount of time, in one or more foreign jurisdiction(s).  Our resident partner has more than 30 years of practice advising cross-border transactions, most of which involved both US and China laws elements.  With significant life and working experience in the greater New York area, California and Shanghai, and experience of representing clients of different industries, corporate governance structures and growth stages from different states and regions in the US or China, he is conversant at building bridges in cross-border/cross-cultural (and sub-cultural) transactions, big or small, with legal and business skills acquired in the top law schools and firms in both the US and China.  We also have the exclusive China membership with Lex Mundi and Multilaw, both law firm alliances with selective and exclusive member firms from most jurisdictions (including most states in the US), and we maintain very close relationship with leading law firms from other jurisdictions, which in turn support us to execute cross-border transactions with confidence.

US Practice

We serve as an outside general counsel in the US to our clients, handholding them with cost effective legal strategies.  Working with our New York and Silicon Valley offices, we help our clients for the following matter, especially for those between the US and China:

We also have a very expansive network where we can locate national and regional leading lawyers in most states in the US for a particular specialty or expertise.  In collaboration with our friend firms, we have experience providing support to our clients for the following matters:

  • Data and privacy

  • Employment and business visas

  • Entertainment

  • Estate planning

  • Export control

  • Real estate

  • State laws

JunHe is the only Chinese law firm to be admitted as a member of Lex Mundi and Multilaw, two international networks of independent law firms. JunHe and selected top law firms in major European and Asian jurisdictions are “best friends.” Through these connections, we provide high quality legal services to clients doing business throughout the world.
As the first carbon neutrality fund sponsored by a law firm in China, the BAF Carbon Neutrality Special Fund was jointly established by JunHe and the Beijing Afforestation Foundation (BAF) to promote carbon neutral initiatives, and encourage social collaboration based on the public fundraising platform to mobilize engagement in public welfare campaigns.
