After CCTV-1's live broadcast of the opening ceremony of the China International Import Expo（CIIE）on November 4th 2021, the military TV series "Ark Peace" was officially broadcast in prime time. JunHe’s legal entertainment team was the core publisher and the producer's full process legal adviser. Ark Peace was simultaneously streamed on Tencent Video, which is an example of how a mainstream teleplay can be linked by a TV station and the Internet.
Based on the story of the naval "Peace Ark" hospital ship, this drama tells the story of naval officers and soldiers performing national missions and heading overseas to heal the wounded and rescue the dying. This realistic military themed work eulogizes Chinese mission undertakings and evokes strong feelings of fulfilling international obligations and maintaining world peace. JunHe’s legal entertainment team provides legal support in the early stages of project planning and script development and provides clients in the film and television industry with one-stop high-level services from the perspective of legal risk and equity management throughout the whole process of a project. With an in-depth understanding of the film and television industry, speed, pragmatism and professional legal text working skills, JunHe’s team can assist clients in the early development stage, through the production and publicity stages as well as full project management.
Specifically, JunHe successfully manages their client's cooperative relationships and equity arrangements with the other core online resource parties such as producers, directors and stars, as well as the subcontracting service providers, investment and financing partners and so on. In this project, JunHe’s team provided compliance consultation, rights chain management, contract drafting and modification, as well as negotiation strategy analysis, public opinion related legal risk management and other comprehensive legal service support. In this combined project by a TV network and the Internet, JunHe’s team needed to draft or modify nearly 200 contracts. In order to efficiently meet the needs of multi-stage shooting and contract feedback in the production stages, JunHe rallied staff outside of its Beijing headquarters, including its Haikou office, to ensure the progress of the contract management within the shooting timeframe of the project.
The “Ark Peace” project also fully demonstrated the JunHe entertainment legal team’s comprehensive professional strength in the legal service field of core film and television projects. JunHe’s team has experience in international drama projects, leading TV networks, Internet variety shows as well as Internet film and television drama projects.
