Esther Leung Partner

Professional Experience

Before joining JunHe in 2014, Esther was partner of DLA Piper (October 2006 to May 2014) in charge of its Hong Kong and Asia capital market practice, and she was partner of Mallesons Stephen Jacques, now known as King & Wood Mallesons (October 2004 to September 2006).


Esther has extensive experience in corporate and commercial matters including initial public offerings, public company takeovers, privatizations, restructurings, secondary offerings, strategic investments, employee share schemes, employee trusts and other corporate work. She was involved in the listings of many companies on the main board and GEM board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange and has led the takeovers of a number of public companies in Hong Kong.


Esther was recognized by Chambers Asia Pacific 2013 as a leading lawyer in capital markets in China and Hong Kong, noting that "Hong Kong capital markets head Esther Leung brings to the team more than 20 years of experience in the market, particularly in relation to ECM offerings." She was also ranked by IFLR 1000 as a leading lawyer in ECM practice in 2014 to 2016.
