Before joining JunHe, Christine practiced at international law firms for years. She worked at CIETAC Beijing headquarters for eight years prior to her private practice.
Christine has significant experience in resolving cross-border disputes. She has advised many Fortune 500 companies on their international arbitration cases with major international arbitration institutions, including but not limited to CIETAC, AAA-ICDR, ICC HKIAC, SCC, and SIAC etc., involving various areas such as international trade, joint ventures, construction, finance, insurance, licensing and intellectual property. She regularly represents multinationals with different levels of Chinese courts and has also advised Chinese SOEs on their overseas litigation cases in concert with US and UK litigators.
Christine has extensive experience in anti-bribery investigations and corporate compliance matters. She currently represents Chinese SOEs in their settlement negotiations with Multilateral Development Banks (MDBs), including the World Bank, the African Development Bank and the Asia Development Bank, in the MDB sanction matters including investigation cooperation and compliance program.
Christine also advises Chinese companies on their overseas investment projects in the US, Europe, Latin America and Africa, and represents major American and European companies in their various China-related transactions.
Christine is a listed arbitrator on the panels of some major international arbitration institutions including CIETAC, AAA-ICDR, HKIAC, ICC, and WIPO, and has acted as a chief arbitrator, sole arbitrator and party-nominated arbitrator in a variety of arbitration cases. Christine is a member of AAA’s International Advisory Committee, ICDR Rules Revision Task Force, and the Proceedings Committee under the auspices of the Council of HKIAC. Christine is recently nominated in WHO’S WHO LEGAL: THOUGHT LEADERS-GLOBAL ELITE 2020, ARBITRATION 2020 and GIR 2020.
